too much.

you liked him too much, my girlfriend said.

and immediately i recognized that as right. yes, too much.

it was only later, crawling into bed, that i thought, what is too much?

i liked him too much? what does that mean?

someday there will be a man. and he will feast on my too much. and then he will ask for more. and we will spend the rest of our lives feeding each other.

and it will be just enough.

Thank you for upholding those courageous traits that make you a beautiful and precious person and thank you for writing this. That ability to give love unfeigned will do you a world of good.

Nailed it. So true. It's so wonderful to be in that place, too.

so true... i have been told that too... what is wrong with 'too much'... and why would that be bad... i want someone he does love me too much... that would be a dream!
i love your writing!

A wise person once told me, "There is no such thing as loving too much. When people say a person loved too much, they really mean that that person loved wrongly."

Dear Meg, what you say is true—the right man will be so grateful for your abundance of warmth and affection. In true love, there is never a "too much."

Yes. Very true my dear.

Agree with Tess. When it comes to love, there is never 'too much' or 'not enough'.

Love isn't quantified when it's true & pure & reciprocated.

This was beautiful. I love your positivity that one day a man will love your "too much." I agree with the ladies above me, when it's True Love there is never too much.

In my life, the only men worthwhile in getting closer to, have always been the ones that made me feel too much. Men that ceaselessly inspire the 'too much' are almost always the ones that make you feel the most alive. Whether it is a stolen glance, a date, or a lifetime, I pray that the person I'm sharing it with, inspires the 'much too much' at the very depth of me. As I, too, reciprocate the same in him.

And aren't all great works of art born out of feeling 'too much'?

LOVE! And NEVER settle for less than that!

You know, I'm not sure there is such a thing as too much. If there is, I'm far too guilty of it. Love with everything you have, or not at all- there is no medium, as far as I'm concerned. x

I've been told this same sentiment by friends, and by a guy or two themselves. "You just liked me too much, and it scared me." Here's to finding the ones who aren't scared!!
