a few days ago i got my own jar of jelly. and i am remiss to report that it is nearly finished. yes, already. what can i say? this girl likes her jam.
when i was in houston just a few weeks ago i got to have jalepeno jam. at a restaurant called reef helmed by james beard award nominee bryan caswell. let me just say this: this bryan fella, he knows how to make his food. i've been dreaming about that jam for days now. and not just the jam. but also the fresh beet ravioli. yes, beets! who knew?

I think you would love Pizzeria 712 on state street in Orem. Fresh organic local ingredients. homemade bread for everything. yum.
xo
the ravioli would probably be good, but I hate jalapeno jam :(
You know... they sell pepper jelly at the Provo Farmers Market. :)
I've tried it. And it is delicious.
here is a recipe.
1 water cracker + cream cheese + Jalapeno jelly.
It's divine. Trust me.
These beet ravilois look amazing. I'm so jealous and must find a way to sample something so tasty ASAP.
I've been following your blog for awhile now and I rarely comment, but I wish you a fabulous summer and best of luck! Your risk taking and stepping outside the box is inspiring and your words are beautiful. I can't wait to see what you accomplish this summer! And please, just as importantly, keep supplying us with such fabulous drool-worthy food inspiration!

I have never tried beets! however if a work of art is the direct product of trying beets, I shall be changing diet soon.

a prettier plate has not been seen!
and jalepeno jam??? i am salivating at the thought! sounds delicious!
reef is my absolute favorite houston restaurant. such inventive flavors and colors.
[and no, a prettier finished plate has never existed].
jalapeno WHAT? that looks nuts. ima have to get me summa that NOW.
mmmmmmmm! i love jalapeno jelly. i'm very jealous :)
Those food pictures literally just made me die and go to heaven.
i love jam, and I love beets! Your utah adventure sounds amazing! congrats and good luck with everything this summer!
If nobody has told you yet to get yourself to Hagermann's Deli in Sandy then nobody loves you! (My husband calls it Hogwarts Deli, the H logo is sort of Harry Pottery I suppose.) You can buy their jalepeno jelly by the bottle, and it is so good and so green and it will change your life, promise. I once went to Utah specifically for this jelly but it was confiscated at the SLC airport, because they have no souls there!
Enjoy Provo! When I went to school there I hated it my first year, but then I really fell in love with it. It's... a funky place, but there are so many great people there. And Provo in the summertime is really fantastic.
