Green-Wood in shades of white and blue.

When I lived way up north in Manhattan visiting Fort Tryon Park after a snowstorm was one of my absolute favorite things to do. This go round, knowing that Fort Tryon was on the other end of a subway ride I didn't want to take, I thought, what is the Brooklyn equivalent? Where can I go that the snow will still be untouched and lovely and the world, draped in all that white, will breathe differently?

So off to Green-Wood Cemetery I trudged. And catching it as the blue hour fell was quite the sight for my weary eyes.

@Alexandra: 181 and Haven (right up along the river). it was a gorgeous little pocket there...if only I didn't hate the A train so much. xo

@Meg oh, that's such a lovely spot...I'm at 181st and Fort Washington, so not far! We may end up being neighborhood twins, as Carroll Gardens is the #1 Brooklyn contender on my list of potential-neighborhoods-to-possibly-move-to-sometime-in-the-next-5-years. In fact, I go all the way to Carroll Gardens to get my hair cut (intense, I know, but I started going to her when I lived in Brooklyn and you know how it is) and always want to stay longer.
