i've felt like an explorer this week--an intrepid explorer!
collecting bits of information--making discovery after discovery.
the apartment leans ever so much--discovery! my own pace slows when in the neighborhood--discovery! i wake each morning to the sound of birds--discovery! the sound of the buzzer, without fail, makes me jump a foot from the ground--such is the terror that noise incites--DISCOVERY!

my buzzer does the same! i've never had one till nyc and it induces sheer. panic. every. time.

Aha my Jersey apartment had a buzzer that could wake the dead! So scary.

My buzzer used to do exactly the same to me even when I expected it--I am obviously a jumpy person.
