tea time.

tea

tea and cup

my parents don't drink coffee. they're tea drinkers--always have been--every morning in big, blue mugs. my brother and i grew up knowing that if we drank from the milk carton at night (pairs nicely with oreos, no?) we had to leave just enough milk for mom's morning tea.

i'm never going to give up my morning coffee (or not in the foreseeable future, anyway).

but last week when i had tea with dear miss natalie and she ordered bourbon coupled with coconut-vanilla, i thought, yeah, okay, i could get into this.

warm, sweet, and a ritual in its own right.

the little things.

the little things indeed. tea is a perfect, tiny thing that changes an entire day for me. the combination of bourbon and coconut AND vanilla sounds like too much joy for me to even fathom...

I'm in that time of my life where I drink tea with my parents in blur mugs :)

and even though I love coffee too, I will forever be the large glass of plain milk person!

My folks are big tea drinkers and it's just me who has an unhealthy obsession with coffee. I wish I were more into tea, because it does look so elegant and refined and there are such a variety of flavours.

And the cups are really pretty.

I've never been a tea drinker either. However, if I could get my hands on that adorable tea set in your pictures, I just might start.

I love Tea. so many lovely tea pots and cups to put it in! I'm also a fan of coffee but since living in France, I've become accustomed to the espresso, small cute cup of strong coffee.
I miss a good cup of tea, we have it sent in a care package from the UK and cherish every cup!

P.s...I like your new header. Very nice pic! :)
