music for your morning.

a boy in a bar recently told me the type of music i love means i got a little texas left in me yet. i fell in love with him for that alone. ask me about the time i drew the lone star state's shape on the palm of a man's hand. i was explaining the panhandle and the gulf. his hand in mind was heaven.

funny that it's only just now after nearly eight years in this city,  that i'm coming to learn about and love the low-country gal upon which the rest of me is built.

look again, looks deceive, i'm a little bit earthy and a little bit wild.

i digress...to the music:

(just for kicks, an added {kickass} bonus)...

BLOOD! I love that song oh so much!

"Oh and you'll find somebody you can blame
And you'll follow the creek that runs out into the sea,
And you'll find the peace of the Lord."

Also the last verse is so heartbreakingly beautiful.

Thank you for sharing this beautiful music selection, love discovering some new music and definitely put a smile on my face this morning.

The city can definitely change you, but it's good to keep your roots deep down within you as a good reference to always call upon :)

That first song has captivated my heart. And a little Ryan Gosling is always welcome, and needed. Thanks for sharing :)

LOVE 'Blood'. Saw them live last year in one of their last gigs. Very sad to see them go.

I feel like you would make the best mix cds. Are those obsolete these days? Whatever the case, yours would be the best!!

aah i love the music you post!

love that you posted the middle east - this time last year i met jordan (singer from the middle east) out on a farm in mudgee (rural town in australia..)

i met him at the tail-end of his permaculture course, just as i was about to start an internship on the same farm. a whole group of us stayed up late under a full moon, huddled around a big campfire, playing music and singing each other tunes. it was such a magical night! thanks for the reminder :)

x bel.
