yes. YES. this exact thing happened to me at a pizza place last night. the impossibly good-looking guy caught me making a joke about myself, then caught me laughing the hardest at my own joke, and i caught him smiling, ducking his head and mouthing my joke to himself. i can't say he's ever noticed me before, and it was my favorite moment of the entire night. i love that you wrote this.
