1.03.2011

2011 (two day update).

you think i'd be worried about 2011.

based on its auspicious beginnings.

like opening my closet saturday morning to falling storage containers and the fear of a broken collar bone. or leaving the grocery store only to realize several blocks later that i'd left the groceries behind. then there was the falling down the entrance steps of my apartment building. and the loss of one of my favorite earrings. all this and the seeds of minor heartbreak (from afar, no less--and most likely imagined {the worst and most cowardly of all }).

but i'm not worried. no siree.

i'm gonna chock all this up to january. (january and i have never been friends).

okay. okay. i'ts all a-okay.

Might as well get that stuff over and done with in January! Besides, we need to have some bad stuff happening in order to really appreciate the good things :) Best wishes from Norway

By the way, now I finally know who Rufus Sewell is! He does have a good stare to him that one ;)

I think January is just the lead in month to the year... its the month for mistakes and trip ups then February things fall into place

(apart from my spelling, i have never been able to spell Feb... i had to google it... thats shocking... my new year reso should be to learn how to spell it!!!)

January and I are not good friends either! I think when we turn a new leaf or a new year, there is so much expectation for it to be perfect but I think that the trick is handling the little bumps of life with grace - which are certainly doing, my dear!!

That sounds like things that would happen to me!
Just goes to show that even in the new year, those things can happen.

In Ethiopia if something bad happens, it means there is good to come.

Even in dreams. Adam will say- I dreamed [ ] insert something horrific happened, that means we are going to get rich!

Still throws me off, but I like it!

You know, I think minor heartbreak from afar might actually be worse than real, serious heartbreak.

Sigh. I hear ya, sister.

january is so difficult. where i live, everyone tosses their christmas trees onto the street for recycling... except the recycling truck doesn't come for a few weeks... so there are all these dying christmas trees drying up in the melting snow...and it's sort of awkward.

january is an introduction, and aren't all introductions a bit awkward? keep that happy attitude and you'll be welcoming february with grace and poise! loved this honest post:)

Ha! Well, mother nature stopped by to visit on the 1st, I burned myself on the 2nd, and I accidentally dropped a red sock with my white sheets in the laundry. I vote January be removed from future years!

You could also look at it as... your getting all the "bad luck" out at the beginning of the year so the rest of the year will be fabulous! :)

January is just a test -- to see how much you can handle, and to make you realize these things are only meant to make you laugh later. :)

Maybe you're just getting all of the bad things out of the way early? From now on, everything is going to rock ;)

January and I are pretty much mortal enemies, so don't sweat the nonsene, he (January is DEFINITELY a he) just likes to wreak havoc to try and throw everyone off their new year good vibes.

Oh and don't mind the 3 comments that came from me that were deleted, that was just January possessing and subsequently messing with my computer.

January is such a jerk.
