just thought i'd share.

yesterday morning i woke, found myself in the kitchen, and thought, oh husband that i'll one day have, promise me you'll load and unload the dishwasher.

and then as fate would have it i was watching the single's dodgeball episode of 30 Rock and lo and behold:

I want someone who will be monogamous and nice to his mother. And I want someone who likes musicals, but knows to just shut his mouth when I’m watching Lost. And I want someone who thinks being really into cars is lame, and strip clubs are gross. I want someone who will actually empty the dishwasher instead of just taking out forks as needed - like I do. I want someone with clean hands and feet and beefy forearms, like a damn Disney prince. And I want him to genuinely like me. Even when I’m old. And that’s what I want.

you gotta love that liz lemon.

(ps: i hate the new blogger format. it doesn't do what i want. like, why is everything in caps?!!! except of course this. blerg.)

I would like a husband like this, too. I have faith that such a man will exist in his own little way.

I think my husband does most of this. But he often likes to remind me of house wonderful he truly is. Does that count? I wonder...

liz is brilliant.

i hate the blogger format too. i pretty much hate blogger period, but i've got so many years of posts invested, that i hate to move elsewhere.

liz lemon is too cute!

id have to say my fiance is all of this...except for LOST - he doesn't get the show so he can't stop asking questions or commenting on it...haha. if that's his one flaw, i'm okay with it.

one day, girl - you'll get the man of your dreams...hopefully one even beyond that! ;)

:) I love Liz Lemon, too! and for what it's worth -- your post was not in caps in my Google reader. have a happy day. I love reading what you have to write!

I love it! You will find him Meg. She does just say unload the dishwasher though, there's nothing about how many delicate little glasses will get broken, forks dropped and then put in the drawer or plates smashed! Marriage is always full of wonderful little surprises. God Bless 'em.

^^^ I love the above comment. It's so true. You have to take the good with the bad. I did not marry a natural born dishwasher loader/unloader. He needs a little prompting at times. ;)

I love Liz Lemon. I love her b/c I see so much of myself in her, even though I'm married. Isn't every woman just so desperately trying to "have it all?"

(sigh)

Oh, and do you remember the song she sang when she found out she was going to get her show "deal breakers"?

"Somebody bring me some ham!!!"

Yea, I get that song stuck in my head at least once a week.

Love you. Love you blog. (and I do mean LOVE)

Longest comment ever. Sorry.

Oh I just LOVE this episode. And that is one of my favorite lines... Liz lemon {Tina Fey} is hilarious and brilliant.

P.s. I kinda liked the ALL CAPS thing... but I get what you're saying about the new blogger format.

I dread unloading the dishwasher. My man is definitely a "take a fork out as he needs it" kinda guy. But, he cooks :)

Cute post, Meg!

I came on here to talk about how that is one of my favorite liz lemon moments. but let's be honest...i love them all :)
and to my future husband: honey, i will cook you ANYTHING your little heart desires as long as you do the dishes....and deal with the broken downstairs toilet (i feel like every house has that ONE item that's always having problems... as liz would say- shark farts!)
