ice cream. not all good?

i tend to go through food phases.

and of late i've wanted nothing so much as ice cream.

but on friday night when my friend megan suggested too much ice cream was one of the causes of kidney stones, i took that little nugget of information for the gift that it was:

reason enough to lay off the mint chocolate chip. (for tonight at least).

Oh my is it really?? That certainly explains a lot. How can something I love so much cause something I hate even more so?

Curses.

speaking as someone who has had multiple
servings of both (ice cream and kidney stones),
i have to say:

kidney stones are, in fact, from satan himself and also, sadly, in fact, caused by heavy, rich foods (definition of ice cream, yes?)

and

i think i'll go have a scoop or two of chocolate chip cookie dough now.

hmm... I'm going to choose to ignore this post. Because if Megan is right, I'm in big trouble. And, you know, ignorance is bliss.

My brother has kidney stone problems, and his or from his body not producing enough of something or another. A certain type of kidney stone is from build-ups of calcium though, so they say calcium itself can cause kidney stones. You have to already be prone though, and really eat is excessively so I wouldn't worry!

It was hard for me to accept the kidney stone connection, so I researched it, and...it's no hogwash.
Not sure why it worries me, since I have never had a kidney stone, but something about it is very unsettling!

ew. i was not aware of this fact. why does everything that tastes so good have to be so bad?
