since late, late sunday night.
and am just now beginning to come back to myself.
my joints are creaking in new and impossible ways.
and my skin tone has taken on a lovely yellowing pallor.
but the promise of having someone else do my laundry in scalding, boiling water makes me feel oh-so-much-better. (thank goodness for nyc launderers--and don't worry i'll give them specific instructions so as to avoid my germs!)

I should set you up with my ex. Whenever he gets sick he "boils" everything, toothbrush in the trash, cleans with industrial cleaner ;), goes a bit over the top according to me...Perhaps I am sick all the time because I don't do this?...

i hope you feel better. i had the stomach flu a few years ago and seriously thought i was going to die. it felt so good to wake the next morning still with the living. hang in there!

Glad to hear that you're still in the land of the living and on the mend! The Other Queen is a good read, a little slow but good. Have you read her other books? They are great as well. I'd also recommend The Tenth Gift by Jane Johnson. It's all about the slave trade from England to Morocco - Pirates came and stole English people! I'd had no idea! It's a good read!
