dear husband-to-be,

if we ever choose to paint our house or apartment or closet for that matter,

promise we'll hire professionals?

cute.

take it from me, REALLY and TRULY hire a professional! when hubs and i were newly married, we moved into a house, and painted every square inch of it ourselves... recipe for disaster!!!

I remember painting our first house. We agreed to sweat equity (painting ALL of it) in exchange for a good chunk off of the down payment. Well it was tough! SOOOO much work. I cried, rolling around on the kitchen floor at one point, exhausted. So yep, I understand you plea here :)

It seems the painting pickle continues? Good luck! Fortunately (except that until I read about your pickle I thought "unfortunately") my apartment building does not allow me to change the color of my walls, so I have not experienced this particular pickle thus far.

Also, as with "iheartkiwi" above, I am (almost) finished with the Time Traveler's Wife. Unfortunately right near the end it got so sad I had to take a break. But I will say that the first 400 pages or so were read in about 2 days, I got so sucked in :)
