decorating the tree...
sometimes unwrapping the ornaments is almost better than unwrapping the gifts on christmas morning.
each has its own story. like books, they are memory made tangible. (thank god ornaments haven't gone electronic (not really) what a loss that would be).

Merry Christmas gorgeous girl!
I know exactly what you mean. Unwrapping the ornaments is such a treat.
I completely agree. That was always my favorite part about decorating my parents' tree growing up. Their tree holds so many memories.
It was fun decorating my tree in NYC for a second time since moving here, because I got to unwrap my own boxes of ornaments for the first time this December! hope you have a wonderful holiday!

this is really great, I work with special needs kids also. I know it can be hard. Love your work!
I love unwrapping the ornaments and hanging each one on the tree. My mom called me this year as she put her tree up to tell me she was hanging up the "10 pound clay Santa" that I made in the 3rd grade. It is NOT 10 pounds! But it is quite heavy... I love the memories that go with each ornament, especially the ones that make me laugh!
Merry Christmas, Meg.
Ornaments are literally memories that will last a lifetime.... probably my favorite part of the holidays :)
decorating the tree is one of my favorite things to do all season. looking through the ornaments is the best!
Yes, I totally agree with you.
couldn't agree with this more!
So true! I love how each ornament triggers a memory.
I wish you a Merry Christmas and all the peace on Earth and goodwill this day brings. And that Christmas cheer warms your heart and the magic of the day grants all your wishes.
I've I had to get over the idea of a perfectly decorated tree because I want these memories, years down the road when my babies are grown I want to open the box of ornaments/memories and remember!!
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas dear Meg!
The family tree at my parent's house is decorated with all the ornaments my siblings and I had made as children, among some others that had been gifted to us. I love putting them on every year and remembering the stories behind them :) Hope you had a lovely Christmas!!
Agreed! Especially when you unearth one that you'd forgotten about.
