For our hearts are not pure; our hearts are filled with need and greed as much as with love and grace; and we wrestle with our hearts all the time. The wrestling is who we are. How we wrestle is who we are. What we want to be is never what we are. Not yet. Maybe that's why we have these relentless engines in our chests, driving us toward what we might be.

I am a recurring reader, first-time commenter. But this struck me today as I have been wrestling with myself for the past few days. Both this and your blog are beautiful.

For the past month I have been wrestling with myself. For so long the greed out weighed my passion. Two days ago that changed. Realizing what I want to be out weighed everything else. The money that I would be making if I had stayed didn't matter anymore. The need for something greater was more important than ever. It's okay that I am, and will be for sometime, uncormfortable. One day that comfort will come back and I will be doing what I love...I am happy.
