not to mention that a hand tattoo inspired by extremely loud and incredibly close (my all-time favorite novel) would be so appropriate: "i went to a tattoo parlor and has YES written onto the palm of my left hand, and NO onto my right palm, what can i say, it hasn't made life wonderful, it's made life possible. when i rub my hands against each other in the middle of winter i am warming myself with the friction of YES and NO."
i've followed your blog for a little while now. thank you for writing it. it's so refreshing to see truly gifted writing in the blogosphere -- poetic yet concise, even when describing the most complex topics and emotions. i'd also like to say that i admire your bravery; you're such a strong, empowered woman. i hope you can see that in yourself and in your writing. i'm very drawn to the work of scriptotherapy, and i think you've done just that with your blog -- the hard, at times heart-wrenching, work of healing yourself through words. may your journey through (and with) language continue as beautifully as it has begun. and by all means, please keep writing.

Oh that book... I don't even know how to put into words how I felt when reading this book. Sometimes strong emotions leave you without words.

this is so incredibly true. :) j-saf is kind of my author soul mate.
Life wouldn't be life without them both. If it wasn't for sadness we wouldn't know what happiness was.
very true words. lovely.
Also, love that book. So many truths and pieces of wisdom in it. Also agree with Kristin's comment. You have a lovely way with writing.
I've never actually thought of it that way..
