i leave tonight for chicago. lollapalooza is this weekend (funny story about that, remind me to tell you later). instead of packing i made this playlist of some of the songs i'm currently listening to.
i hope that our fair city treats you well! i am currently scouring craigslist for one-day passes to lolla, as i am not as well-prepared as you. have the best (and sweatiest) time!
I saw The Lumineers here in LA a couple weeks ago. They were so good!! I think I may have found out about them through you posting one of their videos. It was either you or another blog I read! haha
Hey, I remember you blogging about The Head and The Heart a while back: their set at the Newport Folk Festival is streaming on NPR Music (http://www.npr.org/2011/08/01/137184142/newport-folk-2011-the-head-the-heart-live-in-concert). It's good!
can't say i have heard a single one of those songs!
i checked out the line up of lollapalooza and i see 'an horse' are playing. may i suggest you get your backside over there and check them out. i saw them in melbourne a year back and they put on a rockingly good little show.
I've just discovered your blog, and I've listened to this almost all the way through. I hadn't heard The Avett Brothers before, so thanks for that. Enjoy your trip... Claire
such an amazing playlist! definitely going to blast it as i do all of my household cleaning activities. or just dance around the apartment to it in general. and i love that stars song, one of my favorites :) have fun in chicago!
I absolutely LOVE your playlist. Johnny Flynn and The Avett Brothers are long time favourites of mine. I was so gutted to have missed going to Lollapalooza last year when I was on holiday in Chicago (and also visited NYC en route).
