one of those (perfect) days.

fairway food market

soft shell crab sandwich

the sensuous bean

today was one of those lovely and perfect new york city days. a walk through central park. coffee and grapefruit with a girlfriend in a midtown cafe with dark wooded walls and windows thrust open. lunch at the restaurant above my upper west side grocery mart of choice. a delightful chai latte from a new (to me) local coffee shop, the sensuous bean (go, go, go--it's such a lovely experience). and an hour of just sitting. on a bench on central park west. marveling at the green of the trees above and cool air that the threat of rain ushered in. it was a day of small and simple joys. one of those necessary days that just really fills you up.

here's hoping friday and weekend prove much the same.

you are beautiful. I've recently started following your blog and I'm twenty three and find you really inspiring.

I'm kind of in the same frame of mind about life as you seem to be. Trying to treasure and savour the small things and also excited about falling in love and one day meeting my husband.

I just wanted to drop a comment to let you know that you're gorgeous and I love your pics. I've got myself a wee canon camera too, and you've inspired me to start documenting my life a bit better.

All the best, and I hope this isn't too friendly haha xx

Oh, so jealous! That is how I love to spend my days off too. I think I could just wander, eat, drink coffee, and sit on benches in NYC every weekend if I had the chance. Glad to hear you had such a great day! That coffee shop is right around the corner from Lindsey (the girl I mentioned in my last comment too) but I have never tried it. I will need to go!

Happy Friday!

Walking through central park is such a lovely thing! Oh, and people watching - I could just sit and soak it all in for hours. Sounds like you had a fantastic time.

Thanks for checking out my blog. I'm following you now :)

That really does sound like a perfect NY day! I can't wait to try the Senuous Bean. I always seem to find myself in search of a good coffee shop in that neighborhood.

I don't know why I decided to make my first comment on this one post, but I finally got the guts :) (I guess you could call me a lurker. But that sounds far too creepy for my innocent tastes! Maybe just a silent reader!)
You are absolutely beautiful. Yes, very much so on the outside (maybe I'm biased because we have matching beauty marks...) but even more so on the inside. I am in college and struggled through high school with an eating disorder, and now, like you, am trying to understand being healthy without triggering that nasty little habit again.
Your words are very inspiring to me and it is comforting to have peers (even if its through cyberspace! crazy!) who are dealing with the same thing.
So, really in a nutshell after I've rambled, thank you for your words and sharing your thoughts and experiences. They have helped me greatly :)

I am so so thrilled and inspired by your positivity, lately---by the way in which you are counting the sun's rays and treasuring them. Your descriptions of things---of simple, simple things---really inspire me to take note more. So I thank-you, sincerely, for that.

And as so many others have said---you are beautiful. And reading your words and seeing your thoughts emphasises that. It really, really is a beauty which stems from the inside and pushes outward.
