these are my two truths (as of late).

1. i've been feeling a little low. for a little while now.

2. and i've gotten myself a camera.

somehow these two things are related. and while i'll expound on the connection at a later date, this post is just to say...

turns out a good camera can make a girl feel pretty darn good.

beautiful, even.

and when you've been feeling a bit blue, that's surely something.

cheers to your new camera! i'm terrified about getting a nicer camera for fear i wouldn't even know how to use it? same reason i haven't given in to a fancier phone. lol

Yay for cameras! Do you read Susannah Conway's blog? She's a photographer and does this amazing e-course called Unravelling - it's not about how to take good pictures, but how to take pictures to understand yourself and your world. Pretty powerful stuff. I recommend you Google her.

Girl, you don't even need a camera to prove your beauty. You are beautiful and even though I've never met you in person, I know that you have a certain charm and grace that no one else can imitate. Pretty sure someone out there is falling for you but you just don't know it yet. Or perhaps we may never know.

you look so beautiful, meg. for what that's worth! I'm sorry you've been feeling low though. I too have found that taking pictures is a great way to take one's mind off one's low feelings. Hope it's working for you!

You are so beautiful :) Looks like you got a nice camera! We are looking at new cameras for when our little one joins us in August! Any suggestions?

kate said...

beautiful images. i particularly like the first one. a camera truly helps uncover the beauty of every day life.

do you know what i realized yesterday? since it's march we'll have a 70 degree day sometime in the next 30 days. and this icky winter sad will be a distant memory.

Meg you are so so beautiful. That first picture reminded me of Kate Winslet from Titanic for some reason... you're both classic, porcelain brunette beauties! I'd love to know too how you ended up choosing this camera out of all the options out there... I am currently figuring it all out :)
Also - pray the funk passes soon and gives way to awesome.

I've been feeling blue recently too. We (women, bloggers, people) should talk about this more. That is one of the things I love about your blog.

You look amazing, by the way!!

1. So pumped for you and your new camera--although be warned, it will probably attach itself to your hand and never let go. Or maybe that will be you never letting go. But either way--be warned.

2. It's more than just your eyes and your eyelashes (which are, yes, unreal)... Because if it's possible to actually LOOK strong and wise and assured and determined, you do. You really do. Which is way more beautiful than anything else :)

My two truths are

1. I think you're beautiful and have the nicest skin ever. Any tips for gals battling with acne?

2. I have been feeling a little blue too and have been thinking of getting a camera for quite a while. Maybe bloggers share a common factor for combating the blues

Have a beautiful day!

You don't look blue -- you look radiant! :) Keep smiling!

I must play devil's advocate...if you don't mind? Sometimes I'm feeling fantastic, pretty even, then I see a picture suddenly snapped, and the image never seems to live up to how I feel. I wonder what the world would be like without reflections and digital cameras?!
