i was going to do a post today entitled:
physique 57: the three month update
because yes, i've been doing it for three months. can you believe that? i can't. it feels like weeks. or years. but not three months.
and the post was going to be a fed (and remission of ned) update. because they're all connected--exercise and food and mental acuity, or some such.
but alas. the post did not happen.
and i'm sitting here typing this with a bag of ice under my left foot wondering if i have a deeply pulled muscle in the ball of my foot. or if it's a stress fracture. and please God, don't let it be a stress fracture.
(and maybe i have some cream on my upper lip to curb the encroaching female lip hair {read: mustache}). too much sharing? oh man, i'm never gonna find someone willing to tolerate this crazy.
and the laundry that i was meant to do a week ago is just now in the washer.
i'm thinking at the end of this month i might throw a party just to celebrate january's inevitable end (and it is inevitable, right?).
that is all for today. pathetic, i know.
i leave you with a gratuitous self-portrait. (because i read somewhere that people who constantly take photos of themselves end up looking the best on camera because they learn all their angles and how to be confident and yada, yada, yada...and because i have this thing (read: tremendous fear) of having my picture taken i've been working on it...
anywhoo.
see you back here tomorrow for the physique update?

I too will be celebrating the end of January...because just 6 days in, I am already ready for it to be over.
Looking forward to your Physique 57 update -- I am thinking of getting back into that routine.
cute shirt, you are pretty, this was funny, i believe that about self portraits, can't wait for your next update and i like your hair. that's all!
i have a tremendous fear of getting my picture taken as well. way too critical of myself.
hope your foot is okay!!
You look beautiful!
and I like your shirt.
I hope your foot feels better soon!
You shouldn't fear having your picture taken. You are beautiful!
Meg you are so pretty! I love following your blog. :)
Oh dear! I hate being injured, you feel so helpless! Feel better soon and I think the end of January party is an excellent idea!
For your feet:
Google Sesamoiditis.
It's seen often in runners, and active folk, especially young ladies.
-nerd tip, Kyle : )
you're darling ;) and give us an update whenever the heck you feel like it love!
oh sweet friend, i hope your foot is okay! :(
and i truly can't wait for tomorrow's post!
i know i've said this ten times before and will say it ten times more-- BEAUTIFUL! this just might be my absolute favorite meg fee portrait. it's perfect! you still remind me of actress claire forlani.
i've missed you! xo
BEAUTIFUL picture! Seriously, you are gorgeous! You have a special kind of beauty that is all your own and that one day, some dashing fellow will fall head over heels for!!
I hope your foot feels better! Ice and rest is a miracle worker - also magnesium (releases muscle tension and destresses the body) helps!
You are so pretty, no matter what picture you put up! :)
And I feel the exact same way you do about January, it's just full of inversion and freezing-ness here in Utah. I want summertime temps and shorts!
you look great sweetie!! good luck with your foot :)
i love your eyes, they have such soul and beauty
Oh, your eyes ---> You are beautiful!!
&& a January party sounds just perfect.
curse of the brunettes i call it. quite the curse. haha
you are beautiful. and i am slowly getting over my fear of post my photos. i used to never post photos of me for over a year. i like to think i've almost arrived.
and i'll be celebrating a party with you at the end of January as well. so glad to be done with this month.
freaking january.
i keep saying it, because it's true.
so, you weren't kidding about those eyelashes were you? hello?! people pay hundreds of dollars to have lashes grow like that {see: latisse.} lucky duck.
as always you're beautiful. inside and out. (what?. that's totally a "mom" comment. sorry, but it's true.}
I hope it's not a stress fracture!
That's a great self-portrait. But then you're gorgeous, so it sort of goes without saying!
Coming back tomorrow for that update...
re: "(and maybe i have some cream on my upper lip to curb the encroaching female lip hair {read: mustache}). too much sharing? oh man, i'm never gonna find someone willing to tolerate this crazy."
Don't be silly, you're really lovely. Not many girls can pull off lovely the way you do. Besides, I've admitted to/done much worse in front of my bf... and there was no easing him into it either. Oh lawrdy, do I ever have some bawdy stories to share. I'm not brave enough to post them on the internet just yet. Plus, I made a promise I'd behave myself a little ;) Soon though.
I love the way you write. I wish I could be so talented with words. Keep it comin'
If the menfolk only knew all we do to ourselves to keep us looking the way they think we look! Many's the time I've entertained the idea of not shaving or waxing or removing anything for two weeks - or even one - and seeing what my husband has to say about it. And if he said anything, I'd politely ask him to try his luck finding a girl who didn't have hair growing on her upper lip, and then I'd smack him on the head. Politely.
Having a stress fracture sucks but it is a reminder of how to slow the eff down...I had one and I was actually glad of the reminder although the lovely boot they give you to wear is not so great....
I hope you are well and sending you healing. I followed your blog a while ago and needed a break from all things internet but I am back and I still like your blog :)
You are a stunner Meg!
oh i hope your foot is ok...
no no i dont think that is sharing too much... i think that is normal... i too just did the same thing... stupid hair!!! urgh!!!!
you are gorgeous...
that is a good idea to take pictures like that.. i should probably start doing that...
love ya girl!!!!
HAPPY FRIDAY!
this post was spectacular, and you look simply darling. the fed post will come, but for now this one was perfect, and just what i needed on friday:)
RAVISHING.
oh and i have an ornery chin hair that always returns. so it happens.
you are so pretty! :) i hope your foot heals soon and your blog is fantastic. one of my favorite daily reads :) also, i think it's great how open you are - not crazy at all - it's fantastic and inspiring.
Meg, you are so gorgeous!! No need for the camera fear, my friend.
Hope the ol' foot feels better!
You're beautiful, Meg!! Can't wait on your physique update. I do so wish they offered that here in my town!
You chose a good angle. :) Get well soon!
you look phenomenal.
great shot of you!
I BLEACH MY 'STACHE TOO.
And I am so not ashamed of that.
It makes me really happy that you spoke about it too! Some people find it so taboo for some reason....
GORGEOUS picture, by the way! And I'd never considered that taking pictures of yourself actually helps you become more photogenic....now I have an excuse! Haha :)
bahahaha! even when you write in a stream of consciousness fashion, you are still hilarious. and oh man, i too wonder whether my dream man will be able to tolerate all this crazy. and the fact that shaving my legs is not a top priority. but if not, there are always cats and awesome lady friends and blog friends to tolerate it :)
and love your ned updates, girl. as usual :)
I hope your foot is feeling better at this point!! Thanks for the photo-taking tip : )
