fed tip of the day: find some dishes you really love.

my favorite bowls

don't underestimate the power of the mundane. eating is about the whole experience. i keep this set of bowls in my room--much as i trust my roommates, i don't want try and avoid (or at least delay) the normal wear and tear. i use them daily and daily they have the power to make whatever concoction i've thrown together into an something akin to a meal.

what is fed: (in case you're new...)
an attempt to talk about health (especially that pertaining to eating and food) in a positive and constructive way. for me it is a way to share what has enabled me to find a life of normalcy (the big and little things) after struggling with an eating disorder for many years.

I completely agree. These are gorgeous bowls! Did you paint them yourself or did you buy them somewhere?

I have six kate spade pasta bowls that are the most beautiful precious things I've ever seen. We covet them as they make even the simplest meal beautiful.

the bowls are from anthropologie. from what i can tell they come in four different colors and i have one of each. they are the perfect size--nice and deep.

I always make sure that my water bottles are visually appealing. The nicer the bottle the more I drink the healthier I feel.

Totally agree... I've notice that when I eat on beautiful things, I tend to eat better... and appreciate it more.

LOVE the bowls. They're so pretty!

I love happy bowls!

Gorgeous bowls! Silly Anthropologie and their ridiculously high shipping fee to Australia. You are so right about making eating an experience rather just a way to get energy. You should enjoy everything you eat!

such sage advice--I need to follow it and spice things up around our apartment!

I completely agree about having fancy plates. Being a college student, I've noticed that the pretty blue glass plates and bowls I found (!!!) make me feel like I'm eating at a restaurant, as opposed to eating off stark white plates like you would at the dining commons.

I know exactly what you mean, I have polka dot bowls that I never remember to use, but when I do it makes SUCH a difference! Your bowls are way cuter though, make sure you keep them safe! xoxo

Amen, sister. I too am a lady who knows too much about the seductive man who is "Ned". And I totally agree! I've totally pillaged the local Ross and TJ Maxx stores of their cute bowls and mugs :)

Just like bed sheets. The beauty makes the experience even that more lovely.

I like those! I've had my eye on some from Pier 1 for a while now...

I'm with you... Eating (and so much else, really) is about the whole experience. I think I'm going to invest in some pretty plates and cloth napkins. Why not?!
