That's one of my absolute favorite quotes. As soon as I came upon it in the book, I wrote it down in my quote book. It's so true... the most cherished memories are of the simple times... those in-between times that you don't ever think will really have an impact. They always do.

reminds me of michael cunningham's "the hours" too...
