i'm warning you. the story I'm about to tell you is upsetting.
okay, so one day I was in the bathroom in my parent's house when I was in high school. Suddenly I noticed little white things dropping from the ceiling. I couldn't figure out what they were but I took a second look and they were moving all over the floor -- the floor was nearly covered in maggots that were dropping from a vent in the ceiling. As it had turned out, a squirrel crawled into our roof and had died right above that vent. It was like something out of a horror movie, I swear to you...I have been traumatized ever since and I now get paranoid around ceiling vents.
camilla, i understand. my first ever nyc apartment? a baby pigeon died in the air vent and i ended up with maggots under my bed. that night it was 3 am that found me killing each one individually! the worst, ahhhhhhhh!
I need that reality check. I get the itch to live in NYC a few times a year. It seems so glamourous but I know it's not. Wishing you a bug free apt. from here on out!

That is super icky.
I commend you for doing it, because I think I'd probably just wish it away with my mind powers.
