so michael buble wrote a letter to his wife-to-be. in the form of a song.

turns out it's not just the blogging community who has a penchant for penning letters (or songs) to their future mates.

this song, on Michael Buble's newest album, tickled my fancy immediately.

and so i can't stop listening.

but you know what the best part is? he looks so happy. so utterly confident when he performs it (here and on the video accompanying the deluxe album). and that's what it should be like--the promise of love, when you truly believe in it, inspires that confidence--that happiness--and that becomes the most attractive thing in the world.

(note for new year: work on exuding above attitude).

ps: grocery stores? dancing? that smile? could this be love?

happy post Christmas Monday. it's gonna be a good week.

I love his new album!! And him... just in general. I've been waiting for his tour all year, and I'm due the exact week he makes it to Orlando. Ugh. So sad I'm going to miss it.

i saw this music video once before a few weeks ago. and, yes, i love it/him too. i thought dancing in the grocery store was adorable, and wasn't the end of it just perfect?

{sighs...}

I do it, too.

I saw Michael Buble interview on the Today Show and he's a cheeky, little monkey, if you will.

I enjoyed it very much.

He writes songs and you write letters. Sometimes I actually talk out loud to him, wherever he is, in the hopes that he knows I'm rooting for him, wishing all sorts of good things for him and hoping for him to turn up soon.

I love this song. Thanks for sharing.

Did you know he wrote it when he was single and wanted to write something hopeful for people? The girl staring in the video with him is actually his current girlfriend.

I think this is the right link to the interview I saw with him on CNN.

oh that link was perfect--so glad i got to see that cnn video.

and so glad that michael buble's so happy.

but, does his girlfriend have to look like that? i mean, she's just so damn good looking.

oh, man... life's not fair is it! he he.

this song is the besttt!!

she's his real life girlfriend?!

What a crushing blow.

That's okay. I still love the song. One of my favorite songs in high school was Love Song for No One by John Mayer. Kinda similar in thought!

my friend louise has talked her sister into having this as her wedding dance song because louise was playing this song on christmas daywhen her sister came running down the stairs in their family home to announce she and her love just got engaged. this story made my whole day and thought you would appreciate it x

This is definitely not an NYC grocery store. :)

Gee, Jo said...

I love this song! And yes he does look very confident, and I'm suspecting it has to do with the fact that his real-life girlfriend is playing the object of his affections.

Jennifer M. said...

Oh my gosh, that was an amazing video. I hadn't heard that song before. I think Michael and I are kindred spirits. Lol.

This is a great reminder that I need to keep hope that I will find my Mr. Right someday. I just haven't met him yet.
