good old books. i'm sitting across from all of mine right now. looking at them makes me happy (so does reading them).

and they look marvelous. unpacking my books is my favorite moving task. it reminds me of where I've been and all of the cool people I've learned about.

That is the first thing I do whenever I move! Set up my bookshelf and arrange my books. I always feel so much better after, and it makes me feel like I'm home.

Looks good. It's always the little things that make you feel like you're really at home, no?

speaking of books... have you read the secrets of a fire king? it's a collection of short stories by the author of the memory keeper's daughter. i am loving it so far!

i am pretty sure kiwi and i will wake up one day when we're 50 and realize our house is stuffed with books we've already read but can't bear to give away :)

Your timing for this one is impeccable. I've been packing for my new apartment this week, and the one think I was adament about moving over first was my book collection.

They just have a way of making me feel relaxed and at home. :)

Yours look great!

Did you ever read the Guernsey Literary & Potato Peel Pie Society? There is this amazing part in the end where she puts her books before everything else, even love. That's what this reminds me of.

In my opinion, you've got your priorities straight. But don't trust an english major.
