about the beach...

....i went to the beach yesterday.

it was beautiful.

but the wind was a-blowin'.

and the waves were a-churnin'.

and the ocean and me had a knock-down, drag-out fight.

but i am a pacifist.

this is to say..

it was the ocean who knocked me down and dragged me out.

dragged me out good

so today, two days, after-the-fact...

i am still finding the most miniscule of sea shells plastered all over my body...

in the most unmentionable of places.

ahhhh...

i love the beach.

I love the beach, too--we're going to Florida in a few days! It sounds like a fun adventure. :)

me too.

sometimes a good fight with the ocean is just what a girl needs.

I hate living inland, and I dream of a beach house in my future.

I love your NYC guide that you're doing and it's proving very helpful as I am taking a girls trip next month. I have a beach day on the itinerary, but I have never been to Coney Island or Jones beach. Have you ever been to Coney Island and spent time on that beach? I wonder which beach would be the best.

Once I found little itty bitty fishies plastered to my boobs after a day in the ocean. I thought there was something major wrong with the hotel's plumbing when I saw them in the shower! eeeeek

so cute and so true! I had hair extensions for my wedding and went to Maui for our honeymoon....I found sand in my HAIR for weeks...it was gross, but kind of a nice reminder:)

I love the beach too! Took my little cousins the other day, and got a nasty sunburn, but oh, what saltwater can do for one's soul
